Visa Wavier Program
Description
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) is available to citizens of participating countries. The list of qualifying counties is available on the Department of State Program Website. The program enables foreign nationals to enter the United States without obtaining a Non-Immigrant or Visitor Visa and permits holders to conduct similar business and visitor activities outlined under the B-1 and B-2 visa. VWP travelers waive certain rights that visitors on other visas have. Individuals traveling on the VWP may not extend their visit and are not permitted to change their status while in the United States. Citizens from VWP countries may choose to enter on the Visa Waiver Program or apply for another visa; they are not required to utilize the VWP.
